Donald Martin’s work is deeply rooted in his observation of the natural world. A print maker, Martin depicts regional flora and fauna, drawing from his personal encounters with the landscape. These experiences inform the visual language and content of his work, shaping his distinctive use of line, texture, and color.

Donald Martin is an artist and educator living in St. Augustine, Florida where he has resided for over 50 years. His work is represented in major collections around the country, and he has presented his work in dozens of one person and group exhibitions in this country and abroad. He has taught art on the college level for more than forty years focusing on courses in printmaking, book arts, design, and drawing.

Refreshments will be served. Guests should enter through the Radzinski Garden located at the rear of the Lightner Museum.

Created to showcase the extraordinary talents of artists who live in the Northeast and Central Florida regions, Lightner Local is supported by the Benjamin and Jean Troemel Arts Foundation. Additional support comes from the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
